Zombie (The House of the Dead)

The enemies of Sega's 1997 arcade light-gun shooter. They are laboratory creations, not the risen dead, but the game was aimed at adults and modelled on Western horror films. Film historian Kim Newman dates the modern zombie revival to this game and Resident Evil.12
