The short version. Zombie Wiki is a free reference about zombies in folklore, film, TV, books, comics and games. It is written for adults and contains horror themes. The website has no ads and no accounts. We research every page and list our sources, but we can still get things wrong, so tell us when we slip. The app is a one-time purchase through Apple or Google. A tip is a thank-you gift and buys nothing. Estonian law applies, and you keep every consumer right your own country gives you.
1. Who we are
Zombie Wiki (the website zombiewiki.app and the Zombie Wiki app) is made by 4V3D OÜ, a small company in Estonia: registry code 17515961, VAT number EE102990461, Asula tn 5-26, 11312 Tallinn, Estonia, tel. +372 54440211. Email: hello@zombiewiki.app.
2. Who it is for
Zombie Wiki is written for adults. It describes horror films, games and folklore, including death, disease, violence and decay, in a factual way. It is not meant for children under 16. Many of the works it describes carry their own age ratings, which we show where we know them; a page about a work is not a recommendation to watch or play it.
3. What Zombie Wiki is, and what it is not
Zombie Wiki collects what folklore, scholarship and the works themselves say about each zombie: where it comes from, what causes it, how it moves, how it is stopped. Every page lists the sources it was written from, in our own words.
It is a reference for interest and entertainment. It is not an academic source and does not replace the works it describes or the scholarship it cites. Folklore varies from village to village and fiction changes from sequel to sequel, so a description can be incomplete or, now and then, wrong. Where the sources are silent we leave a field empty instead of guessing. The speed classes, the "could you outrun it" boxes, the quiz, the battle and the race are games built on that data. They are for fun, not canon.
Some folklore on Zombie Wiki belongs to living cultures and religions, such as Haitian Vodou. We describe what the traditions and the scholarship say, with respect, and we do not present living beliefs as fiction.
If you find a mistake, write to hello@zombiewiki.app and we will fix it.
4. Names, works and pictures
Film, TV, book, comic and game titles, character names and franchise names belong to their owners. They are used only to identify the works we write about. Zombie Wiki is independent and is not connected to, sponsored by or approved by any studio, publisher or rights holder.
All pictures of zombies on Zombie Wiki are original illustrations made with an AI image model from written descriptions. They are not stills, screenshots or official designs, and they are labelled as AI-made. If you hold rights in a work and believe something on Zombie Wiki goes beyond fair reference, write to us and we will look at it promptly.
5. The app and the one-time unlock
The Zombie Wiki app can be downloaded for free. A set of zombies and the basic games are free forever. Everything else (every file, picking your own fighters in the battle, racing the dead yourself and the full card collection) is unlocked with one in-app purchase (EUR 9.99 in most of the EU; the store shows the price in your currency before you pay).
- It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There are no further payments, ads or in-app purchases.
- The purchase is made and processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. They send the receipt, handle the payment and handle refunds. You can restore the purchase on your other devices with the same store account.
- The unlock is digital content supplied straight away. When you buy it, the store asks you to agree that delivery starts at once and that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal. If the unlock does not work, write to us and we will fix it or help you get a refund through the store.
- While the apps are not yet in the stores, everything on the website is free. When the apps launch, the same features that need the unlock in the app become app-only.
6. Tips
The tip button on the website lets you send a voluntary tip to say thank you.
- A tip is a gift. It buys nothing: no features, no unlock, no priority and no personal service. The website works the same whether or not you tip.
- 4V3D OÜ is a for-profit company, not a charity. A tip is not a charitable donation and is not tax deductible.
- You choose the amount. Stripe takes the payment and emails you a receipt. That receipt confirms the payment. It is not a tax invoice or a donation receipt.
- If you tipped by mistake or twice, write to hello@zombiewiki.app within 14 days and we will refund it in full.
7. Using Zombie Wiki fairly
You may read, share links to, quote short parts of and print Zombie Wiki pages for personal and teaching use, with a link back. Please do not copy large parts of the site to publish them as your own, scrape it automatically, or try to break or overload it.
The text, design, pictures and data selection belong to 4V3D OÜ, except the parts that belong to others under their own rights. Links to other websites are there for sources and further reading; we do not control those sites.
8. Availability
We keep Zombie Wiki running and fix problems we hear about, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. It is built for current versions of the major browsers and mobile systems.
9. Responsibility
We are responsible for what the law makes us responsible for. Beyond that we are not responsible for indirect loss, and for other loss our responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before.
None of these limits applies to death or personal injury we cause, to anything we do on purpose or with gross negligence, or to any right the law does not let us limit.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the law changes, when we add or change a feature, or for security or technical reasons. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change matters to you, we say so on the site before it takes effect.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your own country's courts. Please write to us first; we usually fix things fast. Consumers can also go to an out-of-court body: in Estonia that is the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at ttja.ee.
