Dearg Due
The Dearg Due is presented in modern retellings as an Irish female revenant who drinks blood. The story has her die after a forced marriage and climb from her grave to kill the men responsible. Unlike most entries here it has no clear documentary trail in older Irish folklore collections, and it should be treated as a recent or literary legend. It is included because it is now one of the most widely repeated Irish undead stories.1
