Jiangshi of Encounters of the Spooky Kind

FilmUndeadHopsSorcery1968 to 1999

Sammo Hung's film mixes kung fu, comedy and Chinese ghost lore, including a hopping corpse sent to kill the hero. It opened the way for the jiangshi boom that Mr. Vampire completed five years later. Critics have called it a near-peerless blend of comedy, horror and kung fu.1
